The Big Apple.

After so long time which I spent thinking about my next post I decided to write two posts about my trip to New York City.

This summer I started with this amazing holiday as you can read in some of my last posts. It was my first time in New York so I really wanted to see everything and now I would like to give you tips where you have to go and what you have to do if you are planning to visit this city.

1) Don't be lazy to cross the Brooklyn's bridge! It's worth it, trust me. You will see an amazing view of the city, but make sure that you wear a comfortable shoes, because it's not going to be a walk for five minutes. We had our hotel in Brooklyn so we decided to cross the Brooklyn bridge to get to Manhattan and then we continued to the financial centre of the city.
2) New World Trade Center cannot miss on my list of interesting places in NY. I think that I don't have to say the reason. It's really close to the Brooklyn Bridge so you don't even have to take a subway to get there. You can see there 9/11 Memorial and Museum which is situated just next to the new skyscraper. When we were there this new building wasn't opened yet but I think it won't take long time until they will finish it.
3) Look around the Broadway! You can find there so many shops, bars, restaurants and much more things. We also went to see the musical Chicago in Broadway Theatre, but we were so disappointed. The tickets weren't cheap so we thought it will be nice as in the movies. But then we came there and the building was old and smelling bad, we had no space for legs on our seats which were so uncomfortable. And I have to continue with complaining about that play. It was playback, they didn't have any properties, they didn't change the scene at all and if I want to compare it with any theatre play which I've already seen in my life in my country, I have to tell you that you can miss this. If I'd known this, I wouldn't have bought those tickets and I would have spent that money for something else.
4) Go shopping to the biggest Victoria's Secret shop! You should see me when I saw that huge shop full of so beautiful and cute thing. Yes, I spent a lot of money there. I fell in love with their perfumes, I found there some of them in a plastic bottle which I really like, because I travel a lot so I have to take care about every gram of my suitcase and usually perfumes are so heavy.
5) For those, who love shopping I would recommend Macy's for sure. As you can see in the picture below it is the biggest store in the world. You can get lost there easily and you will have to stay there two hours at least just to see what they have there. But my personal tip, where you have to go for sure is Century 21 Department Store near to the World Trade Center. You cannot find this shopping mall anywhere else, just in New York City, so don't miss your opportunity to buy something from Michael Kors, Guess, Armani, Steve Madden, Nine West, Christian Lacroix, Valentino and many other international brands for so nice prices. You have to be patient and don't give up in five minutes, but then you can find there really nice pieces for less than half price.
6) Eat in a typical American bistro or restaurant. Don't take care about healthy style for this time and just enjoy the taste of real American food. You have to try once in your life a hamburger with French fries, coleslaw and Coca Cola in New York. I cannot imagine to eat this type of food every week, but for complete the atmosphere of this trip I wanted to try.
